1. The Grand Budapest Hotel by Wes Anderson
I haven't seen this movie yet but I'm excitedly anticipating going to the theatre next weekend because it seems like a masterpiece. I've seen enough tumblr screencaps (rolls eyes) and read enough reviews to get that some of the commonly used colors are purple and pink. And also there's the insane attention to detail that Wes Anderson is known for.
wow doesn't that just look like a really intricate wedding cake that you would want to simultaneously smash your face into and admire for hours.

Amazingly this attention to detail travels beyond the movie screen onto AN ENTIRE WEBSITE EDUCATING YOU ABOUT THE HISTORY OF THE COMPLETELY FICTIONAL REPUBLIC OF ZUBROWSKA THAT IS MADE LIKE AN ACTUAL INTERACTIVE COLLEGE COURSE you guys:
I strongly suggest you all check it out here, the sound effects and interactiveness are all incredibly fun in a Gone Home-esque way.
2. A really amazing bookstore I just discovered in my neighborhood which I will probably go back to every day for the rest of ever because it's just such a natural, ethereal, beautiful space and also BOOKS!
(please excuse the phone camera quality)
3. Ashish RTW Fall 2014
This collection and it's LED light up sneakers, glittering tulle, hyper-embellished blouses, frizzy hair, track pants and bras, glitterrrr, double distressed denim, pink frills, legwarmers and sportswear is basically everything tacky I've ever loved/hated to an extreme (and it's beautifully reminiscent of the 90s- a period I'm very fond of despite the fact that I spent all of it not being alive.)
4. The Moon Song by Karen O
The song is incredibly simple but does a really nice job of doing what music is supposed to do- which is transport you somewhere beautiful.
5. Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey.
I'm obsessed with space science and astrophysics and our insanely beautiful universe (if there's any science nerds out there reading this please send me an email so we can discuss the fact that Mars could have been supporting life three billion years ago and the black hole paradox and other kewl stuff.)- so obviously I'm very much in love with Cosmos.
a. It's hosted by Neil DeGrasse Tyson, who is now officially the babeliest person on the planet.
b. I know this sounds like something incredibly fake that you would put on a scolarship application but learning new things is literally the best feeling in the world for me and every minute I spend watching Cosmos is a minute of me learning something I didn't know a minute ago which is pretty beautiful.

Basically sparkly things, etherealness, and stardust.

Zine fest was so much fun I can't even describe it. The zines were amazing, the people were so cool (there were a bunch of Rookies there), the vibes were incredible, the workshops were mindblowing and overall it was just FUN.
I'm not joking, you guys look at my stash!
Anywho, what did you guys do over the weekend?
