eewwwww

"Why did the 6th grader cross the road?"
"Why?"
"To get to middle school."

Notice anything different, anything more mature, graceful, introspective about your favorite 12-year old blogger?  That's right, I am now officially a real-life middle schooler, crossed over to the other side of existence. I've earned the right to stare down at those puny elementary school kids and raucously laugh at them when they ask me for things, as if I would ever be caught dead talking to... 6th graders *shudders*.

Now enjoy a photo of me bring a model.

Yes this is what I wore on the first day Top: Ross, Jacket: unkown, skirt and shoes: thrifted

7th  grade is simultaneously everything I expected it to be (from my months of prepping watching bad teen
movies and reading bad teen books about the Ugly Ducking who goes into middle school and comes out of the other side as a swan) but also nothing like I thought it would be.

I've discovered that I don't actually hate schools or any of my teachers (yet). But on a worse note, I've also discovered that there are truly idiots everywhere. My middle school is combined with a high school (about 2,000 students in total) and we all know that teenagers (or tweenagers) can be very, very ignorant (not yours truly of course, I don't know what's up with these horrormones that everyone's always talking about).I was already preparing myself and my facial muscles to encounter someone who was so stupid that they actually didn't know it, knowing that the "best" song of the summer is literally describing the "blurred lines" of rape.
-SIGH-

Disappointingly, everyone at my school wears pretty much the same things, but not in a "Do you mean you don't have anything from Hollister?" way. It's more like, they all just follow trends religiously. Wait. Do all normal people follow trends...

In hindsight, when I think about it, clothing itself is very restrictive in theory. There are a limited number of combinations you can actually make with conventional clothing until it gets to the point where you say, what do we do now?

*ETA: That didn't really make any sense did it?

I know I'm kind of late in asking but how were your first days of school?

  1. I love your outfit! I wish I could be starting 7th grade again but instead I have to start high school on Monday, EW. I am not excited about it at all but I have an amazing outfit planned out so that's pretty nice. -Britney

  2. Your white & pastel outfit is so pretty! First day of school outfit was the thing I loved the most. Now I'm stuck with the uniform so my first day are less fun. Love your blog ;)
