baby Neil and baby David

/this post was supposed to go up on January 8, but I never got to take the photos and I'm sorry/

If I had kids I would probably name them Neil and David. Actually probably not,  but that's not the point right now. The point is
a. the lovely and beautiful David Bowie's birthday was today and I celebrated by gazing at photos of baby/ middle aged Bowie (which is an activity that is really a appropriate any day and I suggest you do that right now).
b. I'm currently undertaking the long and painful task of desensitizing myself to Heart of Gold by Neil Young. Um, so far pretty much no progress since I still burst into tears every time I hear it. But really:

"I want to live,
I want to give
I've been a miner
for a heart of gold.
It's these expressions
I never give
That keep me searching
for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.
Keeps me searching
for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old."

Maybe listening to it repeatedly will help, but maybe not.

What was the point of this post again?

Right now a day at school for me is kind of like an episode of Daria/Freaks and Geeks/ My So Called Life/ Twin Peaks (with like twice as much of me murdering people, you know)/ Sabrina the teenage witch/ insert 90s teen cliché here. (extra points to me for all those pop culture references)

Simone Rocha Fall 2011

{ETA: Simone Rocha Fall 2011 from stylebistro.com}

Closeup of Bowie pin which the Geometry teacher noticed was for his birthday!

I wore this outfit to school Monday and now I'll reenact 92% of my classmates:
"what are you wearing?"
"why are you wearing that?"
"what is wrong with you"
etc

And most of the time I just tried to  channel my inner Enid Coleslaw. Speaking of Enid, this is my new life goal.

You guys!!!! It's a little Enid doll!

I like the length of the jacket, because I really like that it goes down to my knees, but the sleeves made it almost impossible for me to do anything and made me feel like Tom Hanks in Big.

I really want to make this blog (content and aesthetic) better because right now, whenever I look at it, I regurgitate a little bit.  So yeah, if you have any ideas let me know~
